Jack Wilde — Digital Artist

I attended private school grades K through 6 in Colorado. This gave me a solid educational foundation and also piqued my interest in art. I remember realizing as young as 5 that I was an artist! I was always drawing or building or creating something either out of my imagination or through the "John Gnagy Learn To Draw" kit I got for Christmas one year, or building the "working model V-8 engine" another year.

I studied art at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. After I graduated I worked freelance for several big design firms in New York, but I truly hated the weather, so I picked up and moved myself to California. I ended up in Orange County and worked for several design agencies as a freelancer and made some good money. After a few years of doing that, the Internet appeared and I began building websites.

I learned quickly that a website was like a tree falling in the forest. If no one knew about it, it might as well not exist. So I began offering marketing services to my clients fro whom I had built website. At first it was simple SEO, but grew into banner ads, press release marketing, article marketing and more.

I grew the business and hired a few people full-time, and numerous freelancers for specific work like copywriting, design, and marketing. It was going gangbusters... that is until 2008 hit. The bottom fell out and it was back to myself going solo again. So I learned some new skills like video production as kept up my design and marketing skills.

Around that time social media was coming on strong and I knew I had to get into that and add it to my wealth of digital design & marketing skills.I am always on the lookout for the "next big thing" in design to use my varies skills to help companies succeed.
